Thank you, Mitch! Yes the Veil of Ignorance has been frequently used and discussed in the work on Fairshare, for example in asking the group thought experiment: "if you had to design a new version of money that you were then going to use, what distribution mechanism could you all agree on?"
This further makes me think how the Veil of Ignorance can be turned on our existing financial systems, for example to ask the question: "When new money is printed (or otherwise made accessible through policy changes), would you agree that it all should be given to a specific person or institution to re-distribute, not knowing what your relationship to that person will be?"
